Madame Janette's is a very popular restaurant located off the beaten path (and away from the beach). Steaks, grilled meats from the rotisserie, salmon and sole as well as local fish like mahi mahi and grouper, fresh pasta and a wide choice of appetizers are some of the choices you'll find at Madame Janette's.

This is a very popular restaurant, reservations are a must.

Food and service below par and pricey
(1-8-07 9:00 PM reservation). We had talked up MJ's to friends of ours who are also regulars to Aruba and have never been there to dine.

What a disappointment. Wait person was rude and never introduced herself but told us she was Dutch, 27 and had 2 sisters and a brother. Never received rolls and asked twice about them. The man refilling the water glasses and the lady that served our wine and drinks were the high point of our experience. Service this time was "very" disappointing and the food-was just OK for the other 3 diners and "horrible" for me. My Cordon Bleu was not edible. It was burnt completely and looked like a giant baked potato or worse!

I have always been told that MJ's was a kitchen driven restaurant and the Chef(s)are well known and respected. Something must be wrong in both the kitchen and with the wait staff. No chef would have sent the Cordon Bleu out of the kitchen that I was served. Very disappointing and the wait person should not be working for you!    [23 Jan 2007 16:55:43]

Great Food
Had grouper and salmon, it was EXCELLENT! Service was great. Reasonable price. Had reservations made day before. Would go back again in a heartbeat.    [20 Nov 2008 17:51:05]
