We dined here for the sunset view and requested outside seating but ended up on the north side so the sunset was not visible, however, this was not a bad location as the west side of the patio was very crowded with every table occupied so we probably had a better dining experience in the less crowded section.

Both meals were excellent as you would expect from an establishment like this. The service was top notch and there were no problems even though the restaurant was very busy.

This is a first rate restaurant and I would not hesitate to return on our next trip to Aruba.    [19 Mar 2007 15:31:10]

The Ventanas del Mar is quite simply the best restaurant on Aruba. Our party dined at Mathilde, Le Dome, L.G. Steakhouse, Ruinas Del Mar (where we sent the dinner back and were comp'ed for the entree), Papiamento and others and the Ventas del Mar is at least two stars above any of the others. The food was magnificent with an assortment of flavors from smooth and delicate sea bass with jumbo scallops, spinach and shiitake; wild Alaskan salmon with almonds, potato puree and grilled pineapple; to those literally bursting in your mouth like fireworks. I don't mean chili hot spicy, I mean wonderful different sensations including pepper, Asian fusion, citrus, coconut curry, and sauces to difficult for even an experienced diner to describe. The service was attentive, the live jazz music mellow and unobtrusive, and the view from the northern end of the island marvelous. Go - you will be exhilarated.    [10 Sep 2007 20:18:34]
