Friendly, healthy local
This small local cafe has cheap, healthy and tasty food with an international flavour. Aside from the traditional pastas and curries, Lebanese dishes abound, a range of traditional European soups appears depending on what's in season, and Russian fish stew is a winter favourite. The customers are mainly locals, and frequently regulars, but weekends see a big influx of Erskineville tourists taking advantage of the egg and bacon rolls after a big night out. The service is friendly and the tables are large enough to fit plates for several people on, a rarity at this end of town. The quality of the food is well above what you'd expect for the price, and the chef will make substitutions to the menu within reason.
