The staff were all busy prepping for the full booking for that evening, but they knew this was a birthday lunch & we were made to feel very welcome & special. It was difficult to choose from the varied, creative & tempting a la carte menu but we chose winning dishes with the scallop carpaccio & the broccolini as entrees followed by a sumptuous & pefectly cooked steak & a delicious duck dish & a raspberry millefeulle to end a high class meal. Flavours in all dishes were perfectly mixed & matched & presentation of all dishes was superb. The wine list (very reasonable prices) included some lesser known wines with 5 white, 2 red, a rose & a bubbly also available by the glass. Lunched on the verandah amid birdsong and great views - fabulous food, couldn't fault it! Both of us have food intolerances which can reduce a fine dining experience to just 'meat and veg' but this chef had no difficulty in meeting our dietary requirements and producing absolute 'taste sensation plus' using the freshest of produce. A memorable Saturday lunch. [16 Feb 2008 00:49:34] Just brilliant! Food to die for. Service to rival the best. We had a weekend in Kurrajong and eat there twice and will be back for the chef's cooking classes. [16 Feb 2008 00:50:40] Fantastic relaxed atmosphere with superb food and attention. Chef David is a treat and will chat to you at your table about the food. We will be back! [16 Feb 2008 00:51:17] Excellent cuisine and restful ambience. Attended on a Sunday where a jazz two piece orchestra played soothing and relaxing music. A great experience overall [16 Feb 2008 00:58:22] Toque, Kurrajong NSW
