Description

Small restaurant in the Brunswick St Mall, with evening outdoor dining opposite the front door, that seats about 24 or so diners. Inside seats about another 20 or so folks.

They subtitle it as Bar & Bistro.

Service is attentive, and the outdoor area is under tarp cover for the weather. Quite nice ambience.

Amid the busy mall precinct that hums with pedestrian traffic, it is an interesting place to spend an evening. The more well-known Mellino's (see at this same Fortitude Valley listing) is next door.

good steaks
Nice place for an evening.

I ate a sirloin steak for AUD 12 and it was delicious. A chap in a group of 4 at the table next to me had a rump that looked even better, perfectly cooked medium rare and sooooo tender. But mine was no slouch and I was satisfied.

Steaks served with chips and salad.

Licensed only and I drank a bottle of Sticks Sauvignon Blanc which was absolutely delicious; AUD27.

Service good and attentive. Only two girls working as waitstaff, but they didn't miss a trick. I was impressed.    [25 May 2008 11:01:38]
