As a child i grew up walking past the shop known as "Wallys Deli". It was the shop for lollies except i think it was a different lady who owned it then and then one day there were different people in there. It's funny how things change. It was and still is your typical small town local deli. whether you like it or not it's a matter of personal opinion. I loved their hot chips with tomato sauce, vinegar and xtra chicken salt. One time i got a burger that was still a bit raw in the middle but i didn't say anything. I never thought 'wally' was approachable as a child. Maybe it was just me. Anyway it was a part of my growing up and if i hadn't gotten my mix lollies on the way/way back from school I don't know what i would have done!    [18 Nov 2002 03:46:39]
