For the money charged I could recommend better restaurants. I had a problem with the fact that dishes were not labeled at all, I eat a lot of curry but distinguishing between dishes from sight alone is an impossible task. The service was at times slow but extremely friendly and engaging. I have recently heard from a friend of mine that the standard of food changed depending on what night of the week it is, unfortunately I must have hit a bad night. [05 Nov 2001 02:36:08]

Have gone there several times over the years. Yes the menu changes depending on the day and this is due to the fact that the people cooking and serving are all volunteers.
I'm a vegan and all I do is ask which dishes are not vegan and they show me. I think the service is excellent and the food delicious. All food is prepared with love and is blessed - you can't put a price on that! [15 Mar 2002 19:04:40]

I Love It I love Analakshmi. I have been going there for some time. The food is fantastic and the service has always been amazing. Best Indian I have had in the whole of Australia! A very cultural and tasty experience. [06 Feb 2004 05:28:23]

This exquisite diner is located near the bell towers near the river. The goddess has found a place near the sea where dining in a calm seaside atmosphere is very calming as well as cooling for their customers. [24 Mar 2004 02:45:24]

Fantastic I think that this restaurant is fabulous. Great views, great tables and great food. Its a great selection of Indian and so so healthy! And you pay what you want, and for a uni student that's also a bonus. Its a shame its not open for Saturday lunch. [25 Aug 2004 03:25:28]

Went in...Still in I went in to have a taste of what an Indian can expect in Australia. Wow, I bow to all there for the unforgettable taste, warmth and a lovely experience of song, music and cultural night. Awaiting the chance to visit Perth again and taste AOS - 'Annalakshmi On Swan'. Earlier the restaurant had an excellent view of the Swan both during day and at night...actually, even the view seem to compete on its importance when the cultural events are on that's spellbinding. Now, its on Swan. Kudos! [22 Apr 2005 07:41:17]

Great Feed Its a delight, this jewel in the crown here sitting on the banks of the Swan river down by the jetty.
I really enjoy the setting, and the food is delish. ok, if they wanted it to be more upmarket with specialist service, well they'd probably be charging a handful. But being that its right on the river edge, where you can sit, eat wonderful Indian curry, (and must say, yummy parata bread), and enjoy the great view on the outside deck, for a pittance for what you'd usually pay at any Indian or other restaurant in town. I say top marks to the place, and heh if you don't like, it, leave it to those who do :) [11 Sep 2005 05:39:38]
