Description

Pub & Resteraunt includes basic bar food plus more. Serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Items found on the menu include things like burgers, perch dinners, sandwiches and wraps, Jimmy C's Chicken Thang.

Friendly atmosphere with wrap around bar, tables and chairs, pool table and jukebox with pseudo-popular tunes.
Trust me, if you walk into Jimmy C's - the Cook, they'll look at you just once, and assume you are a happy sort. THAT's what I like about the Cook.
All are welcome.
Jimmy, by his nature exudes this principle every day.

"Captain's Cook", for years, has been celebrated as a haven for the folk that work in Port...fishermen, tradespersons and many others that seem to keep this place from completely disappearing from the map. It has that kind of ambiance.
And anyone will play pool with you for a draught, so cool! So Port!

Really, the kitchen is sometimes overwhelmed, but the cooks are earnest in giving you what you want. If they can.
Albeit basic bar fare.
Continued success, and remember that Jimmy keeps it lively and current, foodwise.
Parking is likely along the street, and you'll be competing with Pierside patrons for the same spot, but like I always say...
Park and walk in Port!
Till then
Portguy

Never Empty
Have you ever walked or drove by the 'Cook'to see it empty? I never have, there are always people in there! Why? Because the food is great bar food! Best burger in town! Jimmy C and the Gang are always friendly too! All types of people hang out there.    [03 May 2005 21:50:38]

Always there
Jimmy C has struggled for years to make this place work, and he finally has... in the offering.
His menu, albeit not too exciting, is quality-oriented, and totally based on his knowledge of the 'better things in life'. Don't bring the family.
Jimmy has always known what Port Stanley is 'aching' for food-wise, and provides it supportingly.
Remember...he's once a "Ukeladdie!"
I can't beleive he would provide less than he proclaims to offer, and as we plod along in our lives,
the food is always QUALITY at JIMMY-C's!
I'll stake my rep on that one!

p.s.....try the perch!    [17 May 2005 00:22:49]
