over priced and low quality Although the roast duck itself was very good, nothing else we ordered could match what we have had at another roast duck restaurant in town, which costs less than half of what Quan Ju De costs. Hot and Sour cucumbers were stale and wilted. The hot tofu dish was rubbery and the cold one tasted stale. The caraway seed bread rolls were dry and tasteless. The duck liver was overcooked and dry. The cabbage dish too was limp, lifeless, and unappealingly colored, even for Chinese food.
Drop by to pick up a card to say you have been there, and check out the roasting kitchen on display, but don't waste your money. There are many other roast duck restaurants in Beijing that have much much better food and are priced less than half of Quan Ju De. [18 Sep 2005 23:13:30]
