A FISH WITH GUTS
WARNING: Read only if you have a strong stomach.
On the 7/9/03 I had a grilled red snapper at the Dana Restaurant. It was obviously not properly prepared before being grilled as I found it still had all the guts, stomach, liver, etc. still in it when I tried to eat it. I got to the middle section and had to spit out a mouthful because it tasted so foul. I looked more closely to find that the middle of the fish was still cold, raw, full of stomach juice and red blood. Just about holding back the vomit I called over the Manager to show him what I had found. Without even looking at it he said that "it is OK, red snapper always looks like that in the middle, eat it and enjoy" and he walked off. I did not eat any more food for 24 hours. I find this flippant attitude totally unacceptable. Then not only did he charge me the full price of 6.90 Euro for this inedible and probably poisonous meal, I am sure he overcharged us for the two meals we had that night and left no bill for us to check the costs to prove it. Had I not been feeling quite so unwell at the thought of having eaten cold fish stomach I would have been more much forceful at the time but I know I would have been sick if I had looked at it again.
I contacted him by e-mail yesterday asking him if he had any comments but he has not replied. So here are the facts of my night at the Dana Restaurant.
If you go there and try a fish dish, do make sure you have valid health insurance and I hope you have a better meal than I did.    [15 Sep 2003 15:14:43]

Wow what a place
The waiters were brill, great fun. Made you feel really welcome, we dined here the first time because of a referal from out hotelier, but we came back most nights because of the value, and good service.    [18 Dec 2003 09:38:05]

A real experience!
Visiting Dana restaurant was a real high for me simply because I found it to be a really nice place to eat in, and also the people there were so friendly, especially Andreas and Alexus!
