Dinner was much too expensive for this very very poor food. Meat was burned black, vegetables not edible. [17 Jul 2002 21:15:46]

After the Book Fair on August 1st I had a so-called filet mignon at De Brave Broeder. It had nothing to do with filet mignon. They were two round bits of meat, probably die cut out of a pork chop. The vegetables came from the freezer and the better part of them stuck to the boiling hot dish; probably due to the microwave. Potatoes: from the freezer as well. Salad: for two persons an itsy bitsy tiny tray of lettuce with a few crumbs of feta. For this very basic and measly grub they dare ask 14,75 EUR. Outrageous! Weak defence from the waitress: "The menu says 'medaillon', so it doesn't have to be filet mignon. The rest indeed comes out of the freezer." You will understand: once, but never again. I will dissuade everybody from eating at De Brave Broeder. [02 Aug 2004 06:29:07]
