Spice Club-A Pocket Of South Indian Delight It's been a very long time since I had anything favourable to say about restaurants serving south Indian Cuisine. Imagine my reluctance when a friend invited me to the Spice Club. But I was pleasantly surprised. It was a lovely culinary experience. It is about time someone brought back authenticity to south Indian dishes. In a word, the food was delicious and the ambience great. [21 Oct 2003 01:25:26]

Spice Club is deceased Went along and couldn't find it. Turns out it was bought, moved 2 doors and changed it's name to Makaan Mumbai run by Yateen Datar. Pashwai food. Very good, very reasonable. Tried a fish cutlet which was coated in semolina, rice flour and spices - fab. Samosa was one of the best ever - thin pasrty and great ingredients. cucumber raita was extra special - made with their own yoghurt. And the saffron rice was really rice cooked with real saffron, none of this over dyed nonsense. 9022 8086 [14 Aug 2007 10:31:52]
