The Handi Restaurant is a half-century old dining place in Zurich-Oerlikon, which has been changed into an Indian and Pakistani restaurant in 2002, providing both traditional ambiance and Swiss comfort. It offers a variety of traditional dishes, cooked according to authentic recipes. The menu also features a large selection of vegetarian dishes.

The dishes offered in Handi restaurant are all very tasty. It's obvious that the cook takes great care in preparing the food. All meals are freshly prepared. It's difficult to recommennd a dish, as all are very good. But maybe you should try one of the Biryani dishes or the Lamb Vindaloo. There is also quite a large selection of vegetarian dishes. From that selection I can recommend the Bombay Potatoes, which are excellent.

The authentic recipes really differentiates this restaurant from many other Indian/Pakistani places. Their food is among the best I have had so far. The atmosphere is both relaxing and friendly and the service is usually good and friendly as well. Check out this restaurant. Highly recommended!    [19 Jan 2003 18:32:36]
