Manager? More like thug....
Khan's is supposed to be one of those Indian restaurants with the prestige name, right? Wrong. In fact, after much research, I found that Khan's is no more than just a big name, upon visiting the restaurant I was greeted by a friendly waiter who agreed to show us to our 'pre-booked seats' of around 25 people. The place seemed a little unpolished, and the first thing that caught my eye was the lack of table elegance (cutlery, etc...). In fact what happened next tarnished what was supposed to be a fun meal for a birthday of a close friend. The "manager" (see title), decided he would come and wreak havoc and very rudely told us all that we could not have the seats that we had pre-booked. He was so angry about the fact that we had been allowed to sit in our pre-booked seats that he was literally spitting. He was livid. Very odd if you ask me. Anyway the remainder of the meal was further tarnished by the fact that (a) the waiters seemed to have been instructed to give us very little attention, and (b) the overpriced food was very bland. Not a very good night out. Khan's? Who? [24 Mar 2005 08:31:44]
