Plain rude I don't recommend Tinseltown at all after tonight. I arrived at about 11 on a Friday night with friends, intending to have milkshakes and chill out for about an hour before getting a cab home (we'd booked the cab for midnight so had an hour to burn). We were asked upon entering whether we'd be getting anything more than milkshakes and desserts (just to be asked is pretty rude!) and were seated at a very cold table, because we obviously weren't seen as lucrative customers. I guess they wanted to usher us through quickly, but the place wasn't remotely full. The service was pretty lame; after ordering milkshakes, the waitress asked if that was all. I replied "For now.", hoping she might leave us a menu and maybe check on us later, to see if we fancied something else. This didn't happen and the bill didn't come, so we sat there chatting (perfectly reasonable I'd say). When the bill finally came, without making eye contact, a waiter put the bill down and asked us to vacate the table as soon as possible (the place is still nowhere near full and there's no queue). Looked at the bill and they'd had the cheek to add service as well! Bad. Overpriced too. [12 Jan 2007 21:03:36]
