I can't stand the place! I am a local teen. I know the owner, Janet Kincaid's daughter. She is very nasty to my family and tried kicking my sister and myself out. The food always taste horribly, that is unless the cook Jim is there. The carpet looks like someone let mud sink in. When they were remodeling the place, there was no ceiling and the tables were dirty. Most of the waitresses are rude. The only nice thing to eat is the store-bought pies. [17 Aug 2003 00:15:32]

Alaskan Historical Ambiance! I would like to compliment the owner, manager, and chef. I have brought family and friends there on many occasions. [10 May 2004 00:51:14]

Great food and atmosphere!! Any day of the week you will see return customers. Owner chef, Pete Scott, has built a reputation for combining wonderful food, ambiance, and service. I recommend the Inn Cafe to all my friends in Anchorage when they take a trip to Palmer. [10 May 2005 04:19:50]

Great food, great staff, great experience! I was very pleased to find a restaurant of this caliber in Palmer! It has been long overdue. I'm 50 and world traveled. This is a delight of old world tradition in graciousness and quality. The staff is attentive and friend oriented... and that's how they make you feel, like friends. [03 Oct 2006 05:18:13]

not great but not that many choices in town I'm an outsider who moved to Palmer area in 2004. Stayed at the Valley Hotel for a month; it cost $1300 for that then. The Goldminer's Inn up the street is more flexible for long-term clients, offers discounts. The biggest draw for this place is that the cafe is open 24hrs and the stinky bar nearly so. The stuffed wolf in the front lobby is hideous. You have to be careful what you order; the fried halibut is overdone every time we've had it. The pizza wasn't very good. I've had breakfast and it's greasy but the omelets are big and filling. [27 Apr 2007 14:30:58]
