Cool Spot for the Culinary Elite The Bakery is the type of place Mobile needs more of. Cool décor and a fantastic menu. It is one of the place people go to see and be seen. [23 Apr 2004 12:27:56]

Not What It Used to Be I used to love The Bakery Cafe; upon my last visit there I noticed that it was completely different. No daily specials, out of chicken at 7:00, rude waiter, and all the favorites were now gone off of the menu. I will not be going back. [05 Nov 2004 17:31:20]

Three Times, Three Strikes, They're Out I follow the rule that to get an accurate impression of a location you must visit it atleast three times.
After the first visit I did not want to return. In spite of those sentiments I did. Even more difficult was to return for the third time. Inconsistent food that is not cooked to the correct temperature, not plated well, and lacking in taste followed by inattentive service with apathetic responses. I will not go back. All I can say is, "Don't go, don't go, don't go!" [30 Jan 2006 23:37:29]

The Bakery Cafe The Bakery Cafe has been in business in Mobile for approximately 16 years. I have worked on and off for the Bakery Cafe for 4 years now (I work during winter breaks from LSU). I am sorry if any of you had poor experiences with the Bakery Cafe and encourage you to notify either Ahn (manager) or Pat (owner) of any problems you had during your visit. The changing of chefs may be to blame for the inconsistancy of your food. If you do chose to viist again, and I hope you do, during the winter just request Amber to be your server. Not what expected It has been several years since I have been to the bakery, and the menu had no familar items. None of the dishes I had always enjoyed. The service was good but not as it had been in past. Also was told fable about the bread pudding that had been one of the most wonderful things they had; now is just plain and not anything different. While I enjoyed it, it was not up to old standards and unless they get a chef and not a cook, I will not return. [12 May 2007 22:30:29]
