Good Mexican Food
We ate here twice the week of March 5, once on our way from Phoenix to Tucson, and the next on the way back to Phoenix. We each had a combination plate. I had the tamale/taco and my friend had another Mexican meal, but I can't remember which. We each had either beans or rice included. It was VERY good. Best Mexican Food for miles!
I am biased as I have been eating at this restaurant since I was a baby, but I have had ample opportunity to eat at other establishments and nothing compares! The cheese crisps are thick - not just a folded tortilla with cheese, and cooked to a perfect crispness. The food is always served HOT, straight from the stove, and the wait staff of one is very attentive. This is a small hometown family owned restaurant that provides a pleasant glimpse of a simpler time -meaning the decor is not flashy or edgy but simple and homey.
