What is Service?
Perhaps the staff learned about customer service from watching reruns of Seinfelds "Soup Nazi" episode. The counter person was disinterested and obviously impatient as my wife was determining our young children's order. He provided no additional direction or assistance to the first time visitor or tourist. When requested to reprepare the childrens burritos with the salsa on the side and not in the burrito, he refused in a rude manner.

When I advised that this would be my family's first and last visit, the apparent manager responded with a hearty thumbs up "right on!". This disgusting display of customer contempt did not allow me to even consider eating the rest of my meal. When I consider that the meal was in excess of $25 for a family of four (4 meals and two drinks - the adults had water) I cannot recommend the establishment. The salsa may be their claim to fame but they serve Cosco tortilla chips and are over-priced for what they offer. Also don't dare to ask for simple courtesy, you won't get it.    [18 Oct 2001 14:46:37]

It was great!!!
I was visiting relatives in the area over 5 years ago, when we went to the Black Bean for lunch. To this day I would have to say it was the best burrito I have ever had... and I LOVE burritos. I wish we had one here in Memphis! This would definitely be a place I would frequent!

The BEST place in Flagstaff for a quick bite
The burritos at Black Bean are fresh and delicious with a wonderful variety of tasty salsas. All different flavors and spice levels. A very good price deal for what you get.

The service and ambiance are above a normal, chain fast food restaurant. A great, delicious change from the routine at a good price.    [13 Dec 2005 00:33:45]
