Plain But Filling
The portions we saw being served were all large. We both had the meatloaf sandwich, which was huge but lacked any flavor. It sure needed a good dose of seasoning. Sure not like mother made. Nothing fancy on the menu but filling.    [02 Apr 2003 11:34:00]

What a Gem
Delicious! Lucky that we found this little place. It smelled incredible from outside. The soup was fabulous. Everything homemade. Save room for dessert.    [04 Jan 2006 23:29:42]

Everything is fresh and homemade
We travel up the hill just to eat at the Red Rooster. The food is fresh and better than Mom made. The pie selection is outrageous! I am not a fan of sweets but at the Red Rooster I can't resist.    [06 Jul 2006 12:12:10]

Cute, But the Food and Service Needed Help!
It sure looks good from outside, but I thought it could have been friendlier. They weren't even that busy, but if the food were more of a statement, I wouldn't have expected more than that. I know everyone says tis place is it, but I have had MUCH better. The portions were small and the cost too high.    [27 May 2007 19:15:01]

Even the Locals Down the Hill Like it.
I don't live in Jerome. I'm a local down the hill and I have driven the 7 miles f/my house as many times as it took to try everything on the menu. The Red Rooster is the third reason I may buy a second home in Jerome next to the views and the city itself.    [26 Sep 2007 20:25:30]
