Steaks, Chops, Chicken and Ribs and Moderate Prices
Passable steaks, chicken and chops at moderate prices. Most dishes are under $20. The dinner salads are very good as is the mini loaf of bread that is served at the table. Chuckwagon also serves fairly good "cowboy-style" beans.
It has a nice Western atmosphere in a very casual setting. The only real drawback is the exceptional volume of noise. Stay away from the ribs. They taste boiled and then, perhaps, grilled and are slathered in a mediocre Kansas City-style barbecue sauce.    [18 Jul 2002 14:37:00]

The Best I've had next to my own cookin!
Some of the best hospitality next to going to grandma's house! The steaks are wonderful, but bare in mind that it "suggests on the menu...that they don't like to over cook their steaks"...which is a good rule of thumb. Any one worth their salt and knows how to cook a good steak knows this to be true! 'Steaks are at the tenderest when they are cooked "pink" (medium) to rare. The over all atmosphere is wonderful. The owner (who I hear tell is an ol' Texas ranche) has done quiet well with the place and service. Its a great family place!    [23 Jul 2004 00:42:22]
