As good as you'll find . . . My daughter and I were heading south on the 93 from Las Vegas. We passed up all the grease pits in Kingman hoping to make it to Wickenburg for some decent food and ended up stopping in Wikieup at a BBQ joint called "Eat at Joe's". What a great find! The BBQ was as good as you'll find in Arizona.
Joe (his real name) has spent years perfecting his own recipes and they are superb. My recommendation is the brisket sandwich slathered (is that a word?) with his fresh homemade BBQ sauce. My daughter can be a picky eater so there's always a little of hers left over for me to finish but not this time, her plate was clean . . . Darn it! Anyway Eat at Joe's is our standard stop for vittles from now on. I think you'll like it too, if not then there's more for me. [26 Oct 2005 18:46:32]

Great Place to Stop! Well my husband often is on the road with our Heavy Haul Truck and eats out quite often, but never speaks of food like he did of this place! He has stopped both times and both times they remembered him by name and what he had eaten the time before (now that's service). So needless to say my husband decided that I needed to experience the food for myself and let me tell you, they know what they are doing. I just don't know why they are not on a barbecue circuit!!! The food is HOT, Flavorful, Large Portions, Homemade!!! Joe's wife treats you like she has known you forever, as does Joe. We will definitely stop again and again. I hope this little place in a little town gets the business it deserves and stays open for many years to come. [16 Nov 2005 18:33:36]

Best Place to Eat Eat At Joe’s BBQ, simply put, has great food and great atmosphere. Just opened in September of ’05, they are well on their way to being THE place to stop when traveling between Vegas and Phoenix on Hwy 93.
As you make your way through the door of this bright red building and nestle in to one of the locally made picnic tables you’ll be greeted by Rose, one of the owners, to offer you up a hot cup of “joe” or an ice cold beer. While waiting for your order, you’ll look around the room to see lots of pictures of blues and rock artists hanging on the walls along with a variety of musical instruments. There’s even great music playing…a private collection of everything from Stevie Ray Vaughn to The Talking Heads…no muzak or satellite radio here. I tried the “Boudain” which is pork, rice, onions and green peppers combined with Cajun spices and stuffed into sausage casings and it arrived piping hot and very flavorsome and my husband’s Smoked Beef Brisket sandwich was tender and cooked to perfection.
Joe came out from behind the kitchen for a moment and delivered a sample of their homemade beef jerky to our table which was unusually tender and spiced just right.
We loved this place so much, we stopped in again on our way back to Vegas. We highly recommend it! [19 Nov 2005 11:49:07]

Awesome Smoked BBQ While traveling from Las Vegas to New Mexico we decided to make a U-turn and try Joe's BBQ and we are glad we did. My wife and I decided to have some smoked BBQ brisket. Let me tell you, this has got to be the best BBQ between Vegas and New Mexico. You would not imagine that a restaurant in the little town of Wikieup would cook such awesome BBQ. We highly recommend that if you are traveling through this part of the country, you definitely need to make plans to stop at Joe's BBQ. Owners Joe and Rose will greet you with the biggest smile and make you feel right at home, plus the portions of food they serve are big! [28 Nov 2005 14:14:35]

Best Food Between Vegas and Phoenix Some of the best barbecue I have had anywhere, especially the brisket. Friendly service, comfortable setting - inside and out.
This is hands down the best restaurant between Las Vegas and Phoenix. If you're driving on Highway 93, plan your stops around Joe's. Tell your friends, they will thank you... [17 Apr 2006 14:12:40]

Awesome Food...even better Folks I highly recommend eating at JOE'S. It is a great stop between driving to and from Phoenix and Las Vegas on Highway 93. Almost half way in between and if the food don't win you over, the folks at Joe's (both Rose and Joe) will give you that down home hospitality feel. They know all the regulars by first name basis and more often than not, will usually remember the occasional ones as well. It reminds me of that bar in Boston, Cheers, as a place where everyone knows your name. AND the FOOD ain't bad either.

Wowweee Hooollly cow Two of the nicest people in Arizona...Heck...the country. Rose is so sweet and friendly, and Joe is just a great all around guy. He's been cooking forever, and it shows in his tasteful food. Joe is a pretty good musician as well. They keep the place so clean that I heard the flies are on strike. Very comforting musical motif and fantastic music, large tasty portions...what else can be said. If you go there once you will be back, and then you'll find yourself on a web site writing a darn review or something crazy like that. P.S. the prices are reasonable for what you get. mmm mmmm. My mouth is watering again. [31 Dec 2006 18:23:35]
