Best Authentic Mexican Food
Forget about El Torito and other gringo food peddlers. Casa Don Diego is by far the best San Diego County has to offer. The secret is in the sauce and the beans and the everything! I travel from East County to Chula Vista just to satisfy my craving for their homemade salsas. They have a full menu and a full bar. Say hi to Pablo and Ricardo for me!    [24 May 2007 18:45:42]

Since I Was Like 11 Years Old
I remember when Casa Don Diego opened in like 1976 or something . . . My mom would take my little brother and me there once a month or so, when we had some extra money, and it was always delicious. I took my mom and dad there a couple of years ago and was really happy to find that it was still the same place . . . with amazing enchiladas.
