Sesame Donuts NOT vegan
Regardless of what you may find on the web, or what the shopkeepers may tell you, I think it's pretty clear that these donuts are absolutely not vegan.
I went and bought a few dozen last week, with the shopkeeper's assurance that their donuts were made without any eggs or dairy.
A few days later, I decided to call and ask for the ingredients list from their donut mix.
They were unable to produce the list, but said their donuts are made from a Bakemark mix.
I went to the Bakemark website - http://www.bakemark.com - and checked the ingredients for all their donut mixes available in CA.
Every single one contained one or more non-vegan ingredients including: whey, nonfat dry milk, egg yolk solids, egg albumen, whole egg solids, whole egg powder, egg yolks, buttermilk powder, nonfat milk, buttermilk, and dried honey.    [06 Feb 2004 14:27:55]
