Great food, poor service
I have been to Amelia's several times, and enjoy the fresh pasta and seafood. However, the moderately high prices suggest a better quality of service. Even though the restaurant was not particularly busy for a summer Thursday, our waiter was brusque, forgetful, and basically left us unattended for the majority of our meal. We were not offered ground pepper for our unfortunately warm and limp salads, when we requested freshly grated parmesan, he managed to grate it not only on our dishes but in our laps, and in general treated us like tourists (which we are not) whom he would never see again. Our tip was not generous. However, he chased us out of the restaurant to ask if we had a problem with the service! Unprofessional behavior at its worst.
