Old is right After hearing so much about the Arches for being around so long, I thought I would set up a romantic dinner with a girlfreind. The first impression was it looks like it was ready to be torn down. The building was very old and had a musty smell. The restrooms were unkept. To make a long story short it was like they were trying to have a nice restaurant in a old bar. The service was good and the food tasted good, however way overpriced. Very disappointed as the ambiance was awful. Needless to say, not very romantic. We ended up going across the street for after dinner dessert and drinks. [24 Apr 2003 20:43:46]

I wonder how the rent gets paid? I disliked everything about the place and it was very overpriced! [26 Sep 2003 20:22:15]

Christmas Dinner 2003 We celebrated Christmas the day prior due to plans but on Christmas day, my girlfriend and I found ourselves at the Arches. Everyone in suits and dress, the place well packed and the food was superb.
The drinks were top shelf, no question about it. My White Russians.... mMMmm.
The appetizer was a little off, the price a bit high for the shrimp dish but the salad, soup and main course was excellent and well worth the price. I'm not able to eat there every day, but on a fine occasion it is perfect.
Had the Chicken Piccata and the lady had the New York Steak.
We finished up with dessert: tiramisu. It's not the best we've had, but this was made by hand and not a frozen dish. With a cup of coffee the evening went perfect. [25 Dec 2003 22:58:35]

This place is so old and dirty, on top of the fact the wait staff is dumb and unhelpful!!! Save your money and go to mickey D's and maybe you will leave satisfied. [15 Sep 2005 18:27:12]
