Customer Service Very poor customer service. I called Jerseys Pizza on November 09, 2003, and was placed on hold three consecutive times after calling back, for 5, 7 and 8 minutes respectively. On another occasion, my order was delivered 65 minutes after being ordered (after a promised wait time of 35). [09 Nov 2003 22:20:01]

Jersey's is very poorly managed. There are too few people working at all times. Their priorities of who to deal with first (phone/walk-in) are not definite. The overall staff is considerate, but the wait time for the food can be ridiculous, especially with a call in. [28 Feb 2004 15:45:24]

Great Place I love Jersey's. The pizza is the best I have had in So. Cal. The other items on the menu are also excellent. They have a good selection of beers to choose from. They might be slower than your run of the mill pizza delivery but the quality is well worth the additional 10-20 min. wait. [03 Apr 2004 00:27:33]

Best Pizza Jersey's Pizza has the best food and the place always seems to be busy. I've never had a problem with phone orders or waiting for food like these other reviews claimed. The staff was nice and the food was great. I loved it. [07 May 2004 17:53:53]

Good Food, Crap Service Pizza is the best in 20 mile radius. Everyone who works there is obnoxious and rude. They have a nice beer selection though. Also their salads are horrible; do not buy! Pizza is also pretty darn expensive...and they take forever. Reminds of the Soup Nazi, only they are Pizza Nazis. [13 Aug 2006 20:09:39]

Good food, bad service Almost everything we have gotten there is excellent, but it is run very inefficiently. Pizza is good, but a bit overpriced. What ever happened to the friendly local bartender? The bartender (usually in a Hawaiian shirt) is an A-Hole. His attitude toward customers is that of an annoyed uncle you visit and is put out by the fact that he has to be hospitable. The difference here is we are customers. I think you may be better suited for a job at DMV.
Here is an example of inefficiency. I go in for lunch for take-out. I go to the take out counter and place my order—a sandwich with a coke. After ordering I tell the girl that I had to pay with credit card because I had no cash on me. She then tells me I have to go get the coke at the bar. I then remind her that I have only a credit card… she says she can’t do it…tears up the order… and tells me to go order from the bartender. OK, I go over to the bartender, my order is taken and my credit card goes back over to the take-out area to be rung up. I don’t get it. [21 Jan 2007 16:41:57]

Jersey's = GREAT!! I love Jersey's! It is by far one of my favorite places to go. Going there reminds me of the show "Cheers" . . . but with pizza. The food does take a bit longer than at other generic pizza places, like Pizza Hut or Domino's, but that is because they make the food when you order it. It's not sitting on a shelf somewhere, waiting to be cooked. I have never had any problems there. [24 Jul 2007 17:02:38]

Bad Service, Fine, but Bad People as Well I've been frequenting this place for ten years and have outright ignored the bad service because I love their tropical chicken salad.
Today, I am so done.
Took my ethnic-looking coworker during the mid-week lunch hour, and patrons and employees alike basically dropped what they were doing and stared at us with what seemed to be hate? White powerish? Oh, the nerve? I don't know, but we were the only ones with dark hair . . . Anyway, 25 minutes later, we get our food in a to-go bag, even though we asked for dine-in. Virtually ignored in the drink area. The usual Redlands snobbery was omnipresent and tried to will us out of there, to no avail, but I know I will never waste a dime of mine there again. Sorry, Dave, have known you way too long, but get some decent people in there already. [04 Oct 2007 18:08:03]

Great Pizza, Great Staff but the Conditions . . .and That Owner?!?! I couldn't agree more with the reviews. I have been traveling in and out of Redlands for work and found this place by pure accident. The atmosphere looks pleasant and comfortable. Think small-town pizza (with great recipes) meets local sports bar.
First things first -- it's always disgustingly hot in there! It is unbearably hot for such a small confined space. It could be 100 degrees inside and out, and no air!
Secondly, I agree with other reviewers. This place is horribly inefficient. T he system between the bar and where you're supposed to order food is confusing, to say the least. As for the bartender, sounds like you caught him on a bad day. There is one who is always there. At first, I thought he was the owner. I am starting to think this guy sleeps on a mattress in the back. From day one, he provided spot-on service. Even now, I come in once every other month, at best, and he remembers my name and drink order. Once I made the mistake of sitting at the bar when he wasn't there. BIG MISTAKE. The other guy was rude from the moment I sat down. He seemed more interested in the girls than taking my order.
Lastly, many times you can hear the owner yelling obscenities at the staff in the kitchen or across the restaurant to the bartender to come and get food. Once while waiting in line for the bathroom, I heard quite clearly the owner yelling at his staff, "Are you f***ing stupid?" or "What are you f***ing doing?" I am sure it is hard dealing with young adults, but no customer wants to hear that while trying to dine. I wish I could say that this was an isolated incident, but the more I frequent the place, the more I see his temper tantrums and blatant disregard for staff, and even some customers.
Food-wise, somehow, someway, the food remains good and consistent, even with all the problems. Lightyears above the Gourmet Pizza Shop. The white pesto and barbecue are to die for. But how about some appetizers? Cheese bread and bread sticks with dipping sauce don't cut it when every pizza place this side of the Rockies has wings and mozzarella sticks!
The music is good. Once I inquired about the music and the bartender wrote down the name and song. Hope you're not a sports fan. If so, and if there are two conflicting games or events, you're better off somewhere else. It's either all or nothing on the TV's. [06 Nov 2007 13:53:11]
