Avoid Sisley Italian Restaurant
The place is overpriced! I had the white clam sauce. It was extremely watery as though just clams and broth were thrown on pasta. No flavor. Each person in the party is given 1 bread stick.    [07 Jul 2003 18:51:38]

Best Italian Restaurant
I eat there just about everyday for lunch (I work on the opposite corner). It is some of the best, freshest food I have ever tasted. If you want more bread, just ask! I eat about 3 a day myself!    [15 Jul 2004 13:48:59]

It was WONDERFUL!!!
This place was wonderful. I have to watch my food, and the chop salad was absolutely fabulous. The bread is wonderful. They have roasted chicken and tri-tip along with Italian dishes. The place is very clean and roomy. Oh yes - my waiter was dreamy! I would definitely go back there. They also have a nice private room; looks like it holds about 12 people. Horrible!!!
We had a reservation for a birthday party for 9 people on a Thursday night.

Our reservation was for 7 pm. We were seated at about 7:10. The waitress brought us our menus and after about 30 seconds asked us to order so we all ordered after a few minutes. Our salads and soups were brought out and before we could even get halfway through, the entrees were brought. As everyone began to eat their entrees, the waitress asked if anyone wanted a dessert menu!! By this time I was starting to become annoyed. Why were we being so rushed? Halfway through our main course the waitress informed us that we had to hurry up because they had another party that had reserved the room and they were all waiting, well, I looked outside and there was nobody who appeared to be waiting for a table and the place was nearly empty! So we finished our food and got take out boxes because the waitress told us we had to leave and didn't even offer us a place in the empty restaurant. Some of us had ordered coffee so we finished it at the bar. We were all charged an 18% gratuity on top of our bills which I don't think the waitress deserved one bit! I am big on tipping especially for good service but in this case, the waitress already knew she was getting an 18% tip so maybe she didn't feel it was necessary to provide any service.

During the last hour before the restaurant closed, we never saw anyone go into the "reserved" room, In fact some of the waitresses whose shifts had ended congregated in the room to do paperwork. My experience was horrible and I would never return.

nasty bitter experience
Ooh, what a nasty bitter experience. Despite being treated badly by the rude and dismissive manager once, I ventured back again to try Sisley once more. This time, despite having a reservation they tried to wedge my big party into a tiny table, and this was after I arrived EARLY and asked them to start preparing the table. When I complained that the table was too small, the nasty manager lady dismissed me with a curt smile, and then a man came over, claiming he owned the place. He invited my party to leave, and even told me I could F--- Off! Disgusting, vile treatment from a place that in my opinion has only passable food at best, and interior decor that reminds me of an Italianate Howard Johnson's. They can ill afford to treat potential customers like this. I recommend going somewhere else - on personal grounds, and because there are so many other places nearby with superior Italian food for the same price. If you only have one night to go out and spend your hard-earned money, why waste it on a place like this?    [23 Jan 2007 15:14:29]

It's been my favorite Restaurant for over ten years!
I have read a few of the nasty reviews and to be honest, I am shocked that anybody would have anything bad to say about this place. The food is wonderful! The ambiance is terrific! It is definitely NOT overpriced! In fact, I want them to cater at my wedding.    [26 Feb 2007 17:48:41]
