A branch of the West Hartford Tapas restaurant is now open in Bloomfield. The kitchen is open until 10:00 PM each night, but the bar is open longer.

Tapas has been a fixture in the Elmwood section of West Hartford since 1985, serving Mediterranean cuisine in a casual, comfortable setting. To this day, the restaurant still has no freezer—the menu's Greek, Israeli, Spanish, French and Middle Eastern dishes, along with extensive, ever-changing blackboard specials—are prepared from market-fresh products purchased each day. Consistently recognized as one of central Connecticut's best Greek restaurants and as a vegetarian-friendly dining option, Tapas caters to an eclectic clientele, including those in search of a bargain. There aren't many places where a fresh, delicious and healthy meal will run you in the range of $4.75-$15.00

More Upscale Than Original; Most Enjoyable
I have been a fan of the West Hartford restaurant for several years; eating at the restaurant as well as frequent takeout. While the decor is more upscale than the original and there is a full bar, everything about the original has been effectively transported to this location. Even though the drive to the original is a bit farther, I will probably continue to frequent both locations.
