Description
Thai Palace is located in the center of Wintonbury Mall, opposite the Bank of America branch. The opening of the restaurant marked the welcome return to the Bloomfield restaurant scene of William Wu, an original developer of the nearby Ginza Japanese Restaurant. The restaurant offers a broad range of traditional Thai appetizers and entrees for dinner. It also has an excellent selection of lunch specials. The food presentation displays a Manhattan influence on traditional Thai style. A Vegetarian menu is offered.
Thai Palace has an alcoholic beverage license and can serve beer and/or wine with meals.

Outstanding Food and Friendly Service The food is excellent, and very well presented. The service is friendly and helpful, particularly to those who are unfamiliar with Thai cuisine. Those who are familiar with Thai cuisine will quickly recognize many of their old favorites. [17 Aug 2004 15:13:49]

Vegans Delight We are Vegans and do not eat beef, chicken, fish, and eggs. There are not many restaurants that we can eat at. At Thai Palace besides the many dishes on the menu we can eat, the chef created vegan dishes by substituting tofu for beef, chicken, and fish. The food is excellent. The service is great. The atmosphere is elegant. Thai Palace is a restaurant that we are adding to our favorite ones. [14 Jan 2005 23:27:42]

Delicious and sophisticated Thai food First visit was great-- can't wait to go back. The food leans more toward gourmet than some other Thai restaurants, and reminds me, in spirit, of Char Koon in Glastonbury. [10 Dec 2004 15:44:53]

Great Experience A friend of mine suggested we go to the Thai Palace for dinner. I have never eaten Thai food and was not sure about going. After eating there I couldn't believe how great the food was. The service was great and the staff very friendly. The atmosphere was very nice and I enjoyed the surroundings. I have been back to the Thai Palace several more times and find each meal wonderful. I highly recommend the Thai Palace. [03 Feb 2005 21:04:32]

My best bad habit We quit cooking and always come here or order out--it's my best bad habit. Lunch is reasonable and we get way more than we pay for, and being from Bloomfield, it's a dream place.
The staff knows our name, and they're always courteous and even a lot of fun.
If you like your food spicy (hot!) ask for "extra spicy" or even "extra, extra spicy" -- otherwise, those dishes with a chili pepper next to them are just moderately spicy. [14 Apr 2005 17:09:49]

Great Service at affordable prices I moved from Texas and my boyfriend offered to take me to a nice Thai restaurant. I had never had Thai food before, but the first time was definitely enough to keep me going back to Thai Palace [21 Jun 2006 16:38:59]
