Solid The new restaurant that occupies where Fiddler’s used to be is now open.
The interior has been completely redone. Much brighter, and more modern.
The staff was friendly and efficient.
The menu is an eclectic mix of pastas, pizza, Asian inspired dishes, and continental. Over all the food was very solid, and we will be going back. I could have done with a bit more flavor, but everything was very nice. [30 Jul 2006 19:48:41]

Excellent We went to Sig's just a few days after it opened. We loved it from the minute we stepped in the door - comfortable bar, pleasant bartender, good drinks, nice decor in the restaurant, air conditioning not on too cold. Our food was all delicious. A tomato soup was different and delectable. A tuna special was outstanding - slices of rare tuna around a crispy, flavorful risotto cake, topped with strips of mushrooms, snap peas, and carrots. A seafood pasta had a delicious sauce with just the right amount of garlic. Vegetable lasagna was also good. We tried the chocolate torte and the Sabayon with berries for desserts - both perfect.
The menu has about 6 appetizers - all looked enticing - for around $7, 3 salads (they dont' come with the entrees), a few pasta dishes (around $15), 2 kinds of pizza (only $11) about 6 entrees ($20-$28) plus a couple specials. The bread is delicious and fresh. The wine list was very reasonably priced and offered a good variety. The service was very courteous and more professional than many restaurants of this style. (The server didn't try to be our "friend" or tell us her name.) When a dish arrived that wasn't hot, it was whisked away without excuse and soon replaced with a fresh one. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal that was of very high quality and a reasonable price for the area. We will come back. [07 Aug 2006 17:31:26]

Poor service Salads and bread arrived promptly at our table. But, one hour later, we were still waiting for the main courses. Our waitress had no apologies, just said "chicken took longer to cook" [10 Sep 2006 19:31:06]

I'll go back A small restaurant, very nice lay out. Service was attentive and informative. Oyster BLT was great appetizer dish. Wine selection was very good, and waiter was able/willing to make suggestions to pair with food. Very impressive overall package given that the restaurant has not been open that long. Owner "Sig" appears to be everywhere - ensuring complete satisfaction with meal. Nice touch. I'll go back. [25 Sep 2006 19:42:37]

could be great Had dinner as part of a party of four, mid-rush on a Friday night. Service was good, but bordered on intrusive/brusque. All courses and drinks were prompt, well executed, good flavor and nothing obviously wrong. Weird things like the tables sliding around on the floor at the slightest touch made our group jumpy and took away from the comfort level. Noise level medium to high. Wine list varied and generally affordable. I'd like to see more wines at $5 a glass. That shouldn't be too hard. Tighten up the ergo issues, drop the whole by-the-glass selection by $0.50 a whack, and make it feel a little less like a converted pizzeria, and this place would be great. [31 Oct 2006 16:27:53]

Hurry up and eat In terms of service, our second trip to Sig's was as disappointing as the first. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is wonderful, I just wish the front of the house staff could follow suit. Our first trip to Sig's, the waitress was in our face and rushed us along. The second trip, it was the hostess with the attitude. All I ask of Sig's-- please do not overbook reservations. There's no excuse to rush diners who made reservations over a week in advance. You have so much to offer, let us enjoy it. [20 Nov 2006 10:41:07]
