Yummy yummy in my tummy I love Kohinoor and have been there several times. I've tried quite a few dishes and have loved everything! (so I can't recommend anything.. cuz everything is damn good!) The food is the best tasting indian food that I've had in CT, MA, RI and rivals my favorite Indian place in Manhatten.
I was completely shocked that such of a great place was in Meriden... and even more shocked that very few people know of it's existence.
If you dine in, the restaurant is nicely decorated .. not too ornate and not too plain. Kinda modern-esque Indian decor. The wait staff is always friendly and willing to have the "heat" (spicy-ness) adjusted to suit the most tender of a palate ..
I also don't think that the food is overpriced or expensive. Sure, it's more expensive that most places in Meriden. But, in the grand scheme of things this place isn't expensive at all ... (and the lunch buffet is damn good too) [04 Aug 2006 21:05:31]

Love this place I love this restaurant.. There aren't too many good Indian places nearby that I would make a special trip to go to but this is one. The waiters are always helpful and attentive, the food is incredible, and they are very clean - and it's always quiet in there - so I don't mind bringing my daughter even if she's sleeping in her carseat. Freakin great On the go, ran in, ran out with my bag off the lunch buffet... and ran with my bike up to Castle Craig for lunch... smelling its delightful aromas from the bag as they apparently ran faster than me. [23 Jul 2007 21:53:44]

Really Good Though there are other Indian restaurants closer to me, I'm always willing to drive farther to go to Kohinoor. The food is great and so is the staff. [04 Apr 2008 16:30:31]
