Wonderful
Wonderful, we went as a class to Sakimura and were in the Hibachi room and the way you were entertained by the chefs was great. When they lit the onion volcano on fire it was amazing. The service excelent, if you were out of japanese soda, there they were with a glass of water and a lemon wedge. Great atmosphere. 100% two thumbs up.    [02 May 2006 19:52:21]

The Best Sushi and Sashimi in the Area
We moved to the Hartford area from the Chicago area a year and a half ago, and the thing I miss the most about Chicago is the plethora of varied and excellent restaurants. We tried a lot of sushi restaurants in Avon, Farmington and Simsbury, but were not impressed by any until we tried Sakimura.

Sakimura has authentic Japanese-style service. They take the time and make an effort to get to know you. The second time we walked into the restaurant, the hostess greeted us by name.

But it is the quality of the sushi and sashimi that shines at Sakimura. The fish is impeccably fresh and prefectly prepared, from the always excellent uni to the occasionally available toro. And you can trust the sushi chefs to steer you right if you're not sure what you want to try.

The only ordinary thing we have found about Sakimura is the hibachi service. We found it to be uninspired compared to the experiences we've had at other restaurants.    [20 Jan 2007 15:48:36]

Favorite Sushi in the area
No other place like it in the area! Hibachi grills are great food and service too, although we are sushi lovers. Any rolls are delicious and we love the special service and constant personalized attention. We moved here from Los Angeles area and tried all around Avon, Simsbury area, but this one is the BEST    [22 Feb 2007 18:50:11]
