Situated near the entrance to the campus of Georgetown University, The Tombs doubles as a sporting saloon and neighborhood restaurant. Vintage crew and sporting prints, colorful sweeps, high-backed booths, and leaded glass set the tone. Complementing the comfortable surroundings is a simple, affordable menu of burgers and brews, hearty soups and salads, daily specials, and bar-none desserts - all made to order.

Daytime to early evening, the crowd mixes university faculty with locals and their families. On Sunday, the faithful from historic Holy Trinity Church flock to The Tombs for brunch. But every night after 9pm - when the students take over - it becomes every nine-to-fiver's dream of the perfect college hangout.
