No really, it IS a piece of Ireland! The equipment on the wall is from the owner's farm. The pictures on the walls from Ireland look like the decor on the inside too. I enjoy walking in and forgetting what country I'm in. There are some unique foods to try and some traditional ones as well for those less adventurous. Kids menu is helpful. I'd like to see more main course selections as the place grows. Some of the foods are a bit heavy, as in not a dieter's place to go necessarily, but a spoiler now and then won't hurt ya right? ;-) [20 May 2005 09:44:21]

Great food, Great people, and a Good time The music on weekends is fun, the food and atmosphere are good anytime. The traditional Irish dishes are all worth a try. [24 Sep 2005 16:21:38]

Not worth the time. If you enjoy being sneered at for your American accent while being asked for money, wouldn't it just be easier going to North Dublin? At least then you could go to a better part of the country and meet some decent people. [04 Jan 2006 08:09:53]

At Last: no phoney Irish pub here We've waited a long time for a real Irish Pub instead of the chain fakes like Bennigans with atrocious menus and even more atrocious fake Irish names on their so-called Irish dishes. Slainte to the Piece of Ireland. [15 Dec 2006 14:24:56]

I grew up in Ireland and this is far from being "a piece of Ireland". I agree that North Dublin is nicer. I hope that Americans don't think that all Irish people are greedy snobs after they visit this place. Sell outs! [23 Jun 2007 00:17:16]

Comfort Food at it's BEST If you want a trendy bar with lots of youngsters, this place ISN'T for you! If you want a quiet beer with genuinely nice people from the servers to the patrons, this is the spot!
The tenders have spot on advice for great beers. Service was impeccable. Always there when you need them but never pushy.
If you have any bit of Irish heritage and remember the tastes of your childhood, you are transported back to your youth in just one taste of the Guinness Stew and Shepherds Pie. The Cabbage Roll is SUPERB, tangy from the cabbage and sweet from the meat. The finisher is bread pudding with its homemade tasting butterscotch drizzle it is decadent as the finest chocolate cake without the calories!
We will be there many times in the future and hope to see this place around for a LONG LONG time! [09 Feb 2008 11:16:13]

Great Pub This is a great pub with a great atmosphere! It has the only consistent Irish music session (every Wed 9-11). I don't know who the previous reviewer's call greedy snobs!!! Joe and Shirley, the owners, are always kind and gracious even on the rare occassions when they have to handle obnoxious drunks. Our whole family goes here every week. My husband is from Ireland and we all love a piece of Ireland. [22 Feb 2008 13:11:28]
