Family Style Restaurant in Bell
Known for Barbecue the menu features pork or beef and served with 2 sides it is tasty. Now there is seafood. The night we were there the hush puppies were a lot too brown, maybe burned. The grouper came with 15 shrimp and was pronounced good. The okra was crunchy and the salad bar was impressive. There was a slight problem with an influx of flies but when the door is opening and closing all night, the wildlife will come in too.    [22 Oct 2005 17:49:19]

Steaks are worth the trip
We live in Gainesville but drive 45 minutes one-way to eat the wonderful Delmonico Steaks (read: melt-in-your-mouth), salad bar and fried okra...all for a very reasonable price. You don't get steaks this great at the major chains and the price is a lot cheaper!    [19 Apr 2006 10:25:28]

Fall off the Bone Baby Back Ribs
I am a very picky eater and was very skeptical when my husband was given the recommendation from a realtor. The only place I would eat ribs was at Roadhouse or Tony Romas (and pay the high price for them).

I was blown away with the baby back ribs. They were "kicking good"! And the sides were really good too.

The ambiance is ok (your typical country eatery), the service was good and the prices are unbelievable.

Best food around
Akins has the best food of anywhere we have been. From bbq and steaks to seafood it is all wonderful. They give big servings and it is always delicious. The prices are good too. It is definitely worth the trip.    [21 Apr 2008 23:32:05]
