What Happened? I have been going to the Market Street Cafe for a few years now and have taken many guests with me. However the last time I was there something changed. I ordered the Corned Beef sandwich and was really surprised. It is not the meal that I have been accustomed to at this restaurant. The portion was small and the corned beef was grissely. I was told that this is the result of owners thinking that the portions were too large. So I hope that the last meal I had will serve you well as I do not plan to return. The changes were bad. Market Steet Cafe: Worth a visit. I will be back. Breakfast was a super good --- crab and swiss omelet accompanied by properly prepared breakfast potatoes.
Good atmosphere. Friendly and prompt service. Large cups of good coffee. [26 May 2007 23:49:34]

NOT as good as it used to be Long wait for food - unfriendly staff with indifferent attitude - this was my experience on more than 1 occasion. Used to be good - not anymore. [04 Jul 2007 17:31:33]

Market Street Cafe? No! Move on Whoa Nelly! Katey bar the door! Grandma get out the rock salt, load, and pull the hammer back. What in the world? If you don't want tourists, guests, patrons, etc, you are going about it in the right way. Poor everything! I would think week old gator road kill would rank higher. I was the one who wouldn't pay for the 7 of us. After finally getting a seat, then begging for service, then waiting for the food . . one bite from all of our plates told us we were trying to be Shanghaied! We got up and left!
