Love the Rumba
I love this place. As the Hogfish Grill it was just ho-hum. Now, fantastic food, very reasonable prices, great happy hour, and better ambiance. Love the outdoor bar and tables. The only thing that could make this place better, is if were on the water like the other restaurants by the same owners. Will go there again and again.    [09 Jun 2007 23:30:18]

Great Place for Lunch
Great seafood and atmosphere. Small establishment but the food and the price is amazing. Very flavorful. Lunch menu is 8-13 bucks...great value. Request the little corn muffins.    [13 Jun 2007 11:44:50]

Mediocre at best
Unlike a previous reviewer I believe the quality of food (above average) was better when it was the Hogfish Grill. My wife's Aunt and I ate lunch at Rumba today and to say it was a major disappointment would be an understatement. I ordered Calamari as an appetizer unfortunately although lightly breaded and fried it had the consistency of rubber bands. The squid was cut in large pieces and over cooked.
Both my wife's Aunt and I had Grouper sandwiches. I ordered blackened ( which is was not ) and she ordered grilled. The appearance and taste was almost interchangeable. Putting grouper on focaccia is a mistake soft fish with soft saturated bread uck all to the tune of 33 dollars and change what a rip off. I will not be going back    [20 Jun 2007 13:04:38]

We really enjoy Rumba! We have been there several times and will continue to go back. The calamari was excellent! We have not been disappointed with any of the meals or appetizers we have had.    [04 Jul 2007 20:45:30]

EXCELLENT MEAL!
We had been to Hogfish Grill a few times, but it was never really that great. The Rumba, however, is wonderful! The atmosphere was super and just an over-all pleasant meal.

My husband had the pork sandwich and it was a huge serving. I had a seafood combination and everything was delicious, especially the crab cake and fried shrimp; the coconut shrimp and fish were superb, too.

The service was pretty good; it was crowded, and at times hard to get the waiter's attention. The only item we didn't like, which was served previously at the Hogfish grill, were the little muffins - do not like the flavoring of them at all, but they are complimentary, so we can't really complain.    [14 Feb 2008 10:07:20]

A Computer Doctor and his wife LOVE this place!!
We've been back again and again and received excellent food every time! The wings are simply the best and the grouper is to die for. We also love the special recipe sauces that they serve. Atmosphere is very casual and comfortable, just a nice relaxing place to get a good meal for a good price.    [14 Feb 2008 17:34:15]

Great Food
Went here on the recommendation of a friend and was very pleased. We had the mahi maji rio, seafood platter and the fried lobster tails. Every dish was superb especially the mahi. The braised cabbage was also excellent. The service was not the best but the food was great and something different.    [11 May 2008 21:05:00]
