unremarkable This small chain of seafood restaurants is not unlike others in the area.
Service and cleanliness are identical to other local longtime fish joints.
Two levels (mainly upstairs dining) create navigation problems for wheelchairs and elders, though (given available space) they try their best to accommodate everyone.
At this time... I prefer Britt's Cafe located 2 blocks away for service, variety, and food quality. [04 Feb 2002 11:48:26]

Pretty Damn Good by Me I can't tell you the last time I had a grouper sandwich like the one I ate at Crabby Bill's. It was the best blackened grouper I've ever had!
My wife was in the mood for crab, so she had the stone crabs. She got a full pound dinner for $12.95. I've been to restaurants that serve you a 1/2 lb. for that much. The manager came by and informed me that they recently bought a fish house in nearby Madeira Beach. They have their own grouper boats and crabbing boats. He said (and I believe him from the taste of things) that you won't find fresher fish unless you caught it yourself.
Bill and his family still work in the place. I've been there when there was a long wait and Bill himself bought everyone in line a beer! Give it a try and make your own judgment. I know I'll keep going back. [03 Apr 2002 18:51:15]

Won't Have Missed A Thing Having recently moved to Clearwater we've been eating-out a lot. Of all the restaurants we've experienced, this is, by far, the worst. The food was a step-up from fast food. Appeared to us that their draw is their location and building structure. One positive...the coleslaw is excellent. Wasn't busy but service was slow. [26 Sep 2003 09:41:19]

the stuffed flounder was horrible. at least they did not screw up the fried shrimp. they did not give us a menu when we were seated at the table. they forgot to give us utensils. [14 Aug 2006 13:04:20]
