We'll be back! We received a tip that Vinnies was owned by the same family as the now closed, Pines Seafood Grill, we immediately made a reservation. We were not disappointed! The Crabmeat Stuffed Portabella Mushroom was just as we remembered it, delicious. There is a good amount of seafood, some new additions and some carryovers from Pines Seafood Grill.
The most pleasant surprise is that they have nightly entertainment and dancing. We were seated in the main dining room and then went into the lounge after dinner. There are about ten tables for dining in the lounge right next to the dance floor plus high boys and seating at the bar. We will probably try to be seated in the lounge next time as the music was very good and the atmosphere was conducive to lingering between courses and dancing. [27 May 2007 10:51:16]

new owner We went there in early January, 2008 and found out that new owners took over. The menu was the same but can't vouch as to when or if that will change? [13 Feb 2008 13:32:23]

So disappointed My husband & I eat out at least 3 times a week and love finding new restaurants. We work at one of the thoroughbred tracks and we are asked to recommend restaurants for after the races dining all the time. Last night was our 3rd time and will be our last at Vinnie's. We were so disappointed, even the manager didn't seem sincere when he came to the table. Our waitress was new (no problem) but everything went downhill,no mention of any specials they were serving, no offering of a salad w/entree, when I asked how the flounder was cooked she said "I think its broiled". It was the consistency of a tire. We had to ask for the complimentary mussels that are brought before the meal after she served us our dinner. Then the manager came over, "Tell me what's wrong" I explained, he said "I don't know what to say, I'm not going to taste it. I'm sorry." He did offer me something else but I had somehow lost my appetite. He could have cared less if we came back or not. [09 Apr 2008 09:17:13]

Did Vinny Retire? I know he was getting out, but did he retire? I am trying to find what his secret blackened season was/is? It's driving me nuts! I loved Pines seafood for years. Shame it closed....
I've driven by the Vinny's lounge and it now looks closed... [07 Jul 2009 10:51:32]
