Wonderful surprise, worth the drive. Outstanding food and presentation in this cozy restaurant. Highly recomended. Familys seemed welcome, However I saw only one or two young children, most were adults. Reservation recommended.    [08 Nov 2002 16:17:25]

Wonderful atmosphere, warm and attentive service, and excellent cuisine!
One of the most wonderful dining experiences! Attention to every detail, from the glass of water upon entry to the detailed desserts offered after a sumptuous meal. The duckling was a melt in your mouth culinary treat.

The Angels on horseback were delicious and the finishing touch...Snowball with coffee was over the top!    [19 Mar 2004 21:48:33]

Among the Nation's BEST
My husband and I began dating at this dining spot in college!
5 yrs later we occasionally still make the 1.5 hr drive to come back for an outstanding meal~ We have chosen this restaurant to celebrate many special occassions!
The food is amazing- the ambiance is cozy and comfortable. Ask for a booth, or the corner table.    [28 Mar 2004 14:55:56]

Don't Miss This Place
My husband and I heard about this place and had to try it out...We are pleased to say we are repeat customers now. The food was marvelous...not only the taste, but the presentation too. From appetizers to dessert it was unforgetable. The creme' brulee' is the best! The ambiance, service and dining are remarkable.

If you haven't been there -- you are missing it. It's worth the drive.    [05 Aug 2004 14:58:56]

Not Happy!
First of when the reservation was made, was not told that the menu would be a limited one for Valentine's Day! So when checking the menu out--it was a shock to say the least!! The food was not what was expected (not German) and the prices were even higher than normal!
There were no Soup or Salads to choose from and very few Appetizers that were a decent price! After looking over the menu, I was only able to choose an Appetizer Fried Lobster Tails (Two 4oz.)$12.99 and a Salad which consisted of some kind of green leaves with a very light dressing (awful). It was very cold, the group that I was with was extremely cold during the meal! It took forever to get change back when paying the bill! Also the place matt had a hole in it.    [16 Feb 2007 20:17:01]

Will Never Go back!
There were several couples in our party. The wine list showed yellow tail reserve merlot and the waitress showed us the bottle of regular yellowtail. The female owner said the wine supplier makes up the wine list and they are not responsible. We asked if they served german beer and they bought out beer from Holland. The soup was cold.

The waitress was very polite but could not answer several questions about the food. As a result the service was very slow. We were rushed. The real deal breaker was the female owner's attitude. She was argumentive and abrasive. We traveled over 1 hour to get there and would not go back even if this restaurant was 5 minutes from our home.    [19 Apr 2007 09:55:33]
