Great Dining Getaway...
Stumpknockers Restaurant on the Withlacooche River on Route 200 is near perfect in our estimation of wonderful places to eat.

The restaurant location on the river's banks adds greatly to the real outdoor feel of Florida and has tour boat rides if one so desires.

The food and many choices are much appreciated and the older waitresses know good service.

My wife and I visited our daughter and family at Chritmas time and we ate at Stumpknockers. The alligator steaks were excellent. I can't wait to go back.

best fried shrimp on the planet!
we have been dining here for years and it keeps getting better. truly the best fried shrimp anywhere! the scenery is great too. every time we visit Ocala we make a point to have dinner at Stumpknockers! it is always packed and the wait staff work very hard!    [16 Jan 2007 13:20:25]

Great Fried Oysters
I live so far away, I only get to eat there once a year.

Old Florida at its finest!
I ate at Stumpknockers for the 1st time this weekend and can honestly say it was a great experience all around... Food, Drinks, Atmosphere, staff etc! GREAT FOOD

Can't say enough about this place!
We visit Ocala once each year and this is the first place we head to eat. Can't get enough of their fried shrimp. The restaurant has improved greatly since we first found it. Great outdoor feeling.
