An Injury & A Lousy Meal I had a horrible experience at this restaurant. I went on a Sunday morning for their breakfast buffet. I was looking forward to a nice relaxing meal with my husband & in-laws. The buffet consisted of rubbery scrambled eggs, greasy diced potatoes, pancakes, and stale English muffins. The only edible item was the pancakes.
I made the mistake of going to the buffet for a second serving of pancakes. When I approached the buffet area, I felt a slippery spot under my feet. I tried to step out of the area, but began to slide. I looked back at my table, hoping that my family saw that I was about to fall. As I tried to get out of the spot, my feet slipped all over the area. I went down hard. My plate of pancakes flew up in the air, and after slipping & sliding, I ended up flat on my back on the hard wooden floor. As I had gone down, I hit my elbow on the floor terribly hard. My family came running & picked me up off the floor. A woman came over to the area & began wiping the floor with a napkin. She apologized to me & stated that her child must have spilled syrup on the floor. After I sat down at my table, the waitress (Deb) asked me if I was OK. I told her that I had hurt my elbow pretty badly. She said she would send the owner to my table.
After several minutes, the owner came to my table. She told me that she believed I had intentionally fallen. She stated that she was told this by the woman who's child had spilled the syrup and the waitress. I was flabbergasted to hear that I was being accused of intentionally falling. This was an outrageous claim on their part, and I was highly offended. She then told me I must fill out an incident report. She did not apologize for my fall at her restaurant, she actually appeared angry. She didn't even offer me ice for my swollen elbow, which was the least she should have done.
I am still very angry and hurt that I was accused of intentionally falling in the restaurant. Before I had fallen, my family and I spoke of never going back to the restaurant as we were very unhappy with the food in general. The quality, taste, and presentation of food was way below average. But the worst offense was the outrageous attitude of the manager/owner. She should be concerned when a diner falls in her restaurant instead of accusing the diner of intentionally falling. She had my name, phone number, and address but she never contacted me to inquire how I was doing. She obviously has no concern for her diners. [05 Dec 2006 15:36:57]

New and Upcoming This restaurant has made many improvements. I am a usual customer and their presentation of food, taste, and variety has improved greatly. They have started closing at 6 o'clock and have taken away the dinner menu, but have put so much more into their lunch and breakfast menus. As Halloween is now coming up the restaurant is fully decorated and will be for Christmas also. (Great place for the kids!!) The majority of the serving staff is new and very polite. The only thing they can't really do with an order is substitute foods. [04 Oct 2007 16:04:50]
