Eat Here Nichols is a wonderful seafood restaurant. Not pretentious, it has all the qualities of a small town seafood place. Friendly service, great fried seafood, Hush puppies that are wonderful and plentiful are some of these. Service is friendly, but lacking in some of the more professional areas. My tea glass was empty more than once. I drink a lot of tea and this is one measure of attentiveness for me. Overall, this is a great place to eat. [21 Jun 2003 18:44:13]

Super Experience My wife and I recently visited Nichols Seafood Restaurant with friends. The food and service were both excellent. The raw oysters were 10 cents, can you believe it! Overall, it was a super experience that I would recommend to all. [17 Jul 2003 11:53:46]

Ncihols Falling Short These Days I was totally disgusted with the quality of the seafood I received on my last visit. I had grown up eating there and the quality and service has become so bad that I will not be going back, and as I read the review above about the raw oysters in July...buddy are you trying to commit suicide? Only tourists eat raw oysters in the summer months. [27 Dec 2003 21:38:33]

Nichols Is Better than Ever Nichol's seafood has been under new management since 2003. They are now family owned and operated. The seafood is the freshest because the owners also catch their own seafood. Great food, good service. (Their building on Robinson Point Rd was destroyed by Hurricane Ivan and they have relocated to the site previously operated by Hudson House on Avalon Blvd., Milton, FL.) [13 Jul 2005 11:16:17]

Terrible Food Nichols was at one time THE place to go for seafood. My last two visits, the food was totally unacceptable.
The hushpuppies tasted like greasy balls of vinegar, the catfish tasted like mud cats and the stuffed crab was not edible. I must give the young lady who was our waitress credit, though. She was very good---friendly, efficient and a great sense of humor.
I don't think we will be going back. What a loss of a one time great restaurant. [08 Jul 2007 17:32:53]
