Great Italian Cuisine
I've been to Peppinos several times and each occasion has been unforgetable. The ambiance is great, quiet and romantic. The food is prepared perfectly and the portions are a good size. The pizza crust is fantastic and so are the homemade desserts. An overall great place to eat that wont be a disappointment.    [16 Nov 2002 18:03:08]

It doesn't get any better
Peppino's in excellent Italian Crusine.
The weekly specials are awesome. I have eaten there many, many times. We go for special occations and when we want a quite intimate dinner. The staff is awesome, only if you like waiters in tuxes.    [20 Dec 2005 12:37:22]

Peppinos-Orlando's Hidden Secret
I have been living in East Orlando going on nine years and just went to Peppinos for the first time. The food was just simply outstanding. Everything from the rolls, appetizers, salad, to main entree and dessert was soooooo delicious. You could taste the freshness of all the ingredients in every bite. I couldn't believe that I had not been there before. I'd always seen the restaurant and thought I should try it someday but never did. Well, let's just say they have found a patron for life.    [21 Dec 2005 13:49:51]

Lunch buffet is awful
I've been to the lunch buffet three times now. Each time it got worse. The pizza was so soggy is was like a wet towel with oil dripping. To make matters worse the server came to our table once the entire time we were there. I've had dinner there, which was fine, but WOW the lunch buffet is awful.

Mediocre and quite expensive
We've been there twice now for dinner. The food has not been anywhere near outstanding, it's just mediocre. And for $50.00 for two people, I would recommend going elsewhere.
The atmosphere is practically dead around 9:00pm on a friday or saturday - must tell you something.

The desert is very expensive and not that great. They claim it's homemade each day at the restaurant, but a slice of NY imported cheesecake at the Cheesecake factory tastes better and for the same price.

It's somewhat romantic but more of a "homey" feel and still has some hole-in-the-wall features that are clearly evident. For example the cheese and oregano containers are the same ones pizza hut uses and the tables and walls look like they're from a house. We compared it to a "nice" restaurant you would find in a retirement home. It's definitely a place where several locals like and go, but not a romantic getaway for a couple.

Oh, and the rolls are not that good. Burnt and overcooked both times, and have no flavor. That's why there's butter packets on the table - not very Italian cuisine if you ask me. And a complimentary salad with your meal does not include a caesar salad unless you want to pay 1.50 extra for a small plate with about 10 pieces of lettuce on it. Most of the main dishes are, I suppose what you would call, up to standard.    [17 Feb 2007 00:02:11]

Loved it!
I just went into Peppino's for the first time and thought it was amazing. There's a large selection and everything that we had was very good. The service was also great. Save room for the brownie dessert.    [17 Jul 2007 14:15:18]

Best Italian Restaurant Around
First off, I would like to say I have been a loyal patron of Peppinos for many years. Yes they are not extremely busy but they are also not located in a shopping mall, or annex. They keep a great pace every time I go.

The calamari, is the best around, And get the salad with house dressing, (add blue cheese if you like it). Dont fill up on breadsticks there is so much more. If you're hungry order chicken Maria, Its a heaping. Even if you are not hungry, share a dessert, They are HOMEMADE and delicious I recommend the Cheesecake Sundae! DELICIOUS! And don't forget a cappucino. ENJOY    [09 Dec 2007 09:57:18]

If you didn' like Peppinos then you have no idea what you talking about
I found the homey feel and wonderful thing in a world of mass produced food. this may have today with the fact that itis family owned and opperated. Its not to pricey at all, they have something for every price rang. On the weekends try to get in before 7 because it gets supper busy, but if you do not mind waiting then dont worry about it. Very great authentic food, may have to do with the fact that the owners are from Italy. If you didn't like Peppinos you have no idea what real italian food is. Oh and the pizza gotta love that NY style thin crust pizza, which is so nice coz every where else you get pizza from its more like bread with cheese, so thank you Peppinos for great food.    [26 Feb 2008 10:01:31]
