Description

A pressed-metal ceiling in the dining room, and black-and-white tiles on the floors are reminiscent of restaurants such as Tadich's Grill in San Francisco.

When weather permits, and most days in Sarasota the weather does permit, the entire front of the restaurant is open to the sidewalk giving an open feeling to the dining room and helping to hold the noise level down.

A wall display of early Florida photos adds a local touch. Fred's was named one of the top 20 new restaurants in Florida by Florida Trend Magazine.

A bottle of wine with the meal is close at hand in the J.D. Ford wine shop. Designed to complement J.D. Ford, the cigar friendly Tasting Room is well known for its unique cuisine, wine, and premium liquors and has become a local hot spot with the younger set.
