We eat there two maybe three times a week,it's the closest thing to a home cooked meal that your going to find in a restaurant anywhere.

RINGLING FESTIVAL FIASCO
My family attended the Ringling Museum last weekend, especially drawn by the advertising of the "Italian Festival" taking place. When we saw one tent of food we were let down, but that was only the beginning. We stood on line for at least 20 minutes, and the only people moving were the ones getting fed up and LEAVING the line. There were 4 people working behind the table - two chefs and two kids. None of them had a clue of how to serve people. There was no sense of urgency or getting people through the line. In a strange twist of irony, I read a banner up in the back of the tent that read " Maries Italian Kitchen, voted BEST CATERER in Sarasota". That's when I let out a mocking laugh and left the line as well. My 9 year old could have done a better job by herself.    [15 Jul 2003 09:25:16]
