Good Thai for a Good Price. This is a fairly standard (but quite competent), vegetarian-friendly Thai restaurant that is very reasonably priced. It's a good thing it's good, because it's the only Thai place in South Daytona. [25 Jul 2003 14:11:33]

Best Thai Ever Songkran is my favorite restaurant around. The food gives me special powers. I love that the owners still cook there and will make your dish as spicy as you can handle (or not). They also are frequently walking through asking how the food is. Love the waitresses, too. [05 Nov 2003 19:46:23]

Awesome Thai Food! This summer I visited a small yet quaint little Thai restaurant in South Daytona, Florida. The resturant's name was Songkran. I have been to a few Thai food resturants and have found myself attracted to the cuisine. Not only is it healthy eats, its unique flavorable taste makes you want more! Songkran had the most awesome Thai food I have ever had! The ambiance made it even better! If ever in South Daytona I would truly recommend this resturant! From the appetizer, salad, main course, dessert, Thai tea and the owners, it makes you wish you lived right next door! [03 Oct 2004 23:43:57]

Thai for two (or twenty) It seems that every time we go there we run into folks from our community. This is THE place to go with a big group. Just let the friendly waitress know that you want the owners, Susan and Bud, to just start cooking for you. You'll be in for a gastronomic treat! (Don't worry about the cost, trust me on this, $12-$14 pp.) After dinner, ask if there is any Ginger Ice Cream (homemade by Bud). The decor reflects a rather tight budget but they are working on it. The food is outstanding and the service is really great. [21 May 2006 16:11:12]

Tradition of excellence continues The interior has been newly renovated. The food is some of the best Thai I've had anywhere. Across the last 12 years it's been the most reliable of restaurants. I'm writing this fresh from a visit there today, and I'm pleased to report that it continues to meet my expectations. [29 Jul 2006 21:05:50]
