Keep on Driving For anyone that looking for great seafood in a quaint Florida restaurant setting, keep on driving past Dixie Crossroads Restaurant in Titusville. We stopped and it was packed. We waited and snagged an available table in the bar area. The people working there were very nice - but we should have known we were in for trouble when we watched the two people at the table before we got seating waiting forever for their food. Service was an after thought - although you got your drink fast. We ordered a crab bite appitizer that after a reminder still never showed up. Bottom line after a good hour of waiting we got our meals and the seafood was cold although the french fries and baked potato were hot. My grilled swordfish was dry with no seasoning. Even the rock shrimp which were supposed to be their specialty were slimy and bland. It was a terrible dinner and we will never be back. My wife complained on the way out and we did get the dinner on the house - but I would have rather paid for a decent meal. [30 Dec 2006 14:28:36]

What's good about it? Somewhat friendly workers.
What's bad?

Fishy
Overrated and overpriced! What used to be a great restaurant has gone to the dogs....I used to brag about it myself to out of towners but no more. It's still running on it's past reputation. You used to get GREAT food and more than you could eat. The prices have gone out of range for what you get. I suggest Corky Bells in Cocoa as a local. Let the tourist have Dixie Crossroads...Nobody is watching what comes out of the kitchen anymore and it's obvious they don't care how the food is presented....some 18 year old thinking about fixing his car back there throwing out whatever comes out and hoping it doesn't come back.....skip this place.
