Oh my gosh!
This restaurant had been recommended to us by friends. It totally lived up to its billing. The seared ahi was amazing! The family style salad served with the meals is great as well. Fresh croutons and terrific thousand island and bleu cheese dressings make the meal memorable from start to finish. This place is a mistake, do not eat here!
If you like good seafood do not eat here! The chef just slops food together and there is no taste to their food. The staff is uneducated to the food they are selling and only know how to appeal to the uneducated tourists who know less about seafood then they do. As for the touted "seared ahi", consider it more undercooked than seared as it comes out yielding a dull grey color and not char-broiled as to be expected from a "seared" fish.    [15 Feb 2005 17:12:16]

For the past 13 years, I've been going to the Northshore of Kauai ....to unwind, catch some rays, replenish my soul and EAT AT THE DOLPHIN!!! WHAT A RIP-OFF!!!!
My family and i eat at the dolphin in june of 2007. If you like bad service and high prices, then enjoy the dolphin. Now I know hawaii is expensive but when my daughter orders a kids shrimp for $10.95 and gets 10 shrimp. I order a adult 1/2 order for $23.95 and get 4 shrimp. Something is wrong. I also asked 4 times for refills of water and the male waiter kept he would be right with us.    [05 Sep 2007 19:28:48]
